Overview
slide is a tile route puzzle about covering a grid with straight swipes that end at edges. The roller travels until it hits a boundary, and your plan is to sequence swipes so each move either completes a region or sets a clean finish later. Start with long straights to define structure, then fill small islands as end caps. Avoid zigzag chains that leave stray tiles; prefer parity-friendly routes where opposite swipes meet and complete. The board stays polite—clear edges, readable islands—and the cadence becomes restful: long, short, pivot, finish. Misses teach gently: redundant passes signal poor start lines, tiny islands left behind mean you filled out of order, and messy corners say you rushed a pivot before an edge was ready. Correction is small: reset one start line, convert a zigzag into two straights, and watch coverage settle. It’s paint-by-geometry, and the satisfying click comes when the last tile clears because your sequence had logic.
