Overview
dd-knots is an untangle puzzle about corridor planning and gentle pulls, where the goal is to free ropes without creating new knots. The visual language is fair—overlaps, highlights, and shading tell you which strand sits on top—and the craft is sequencing: open a corridor, stage one rope in a safe pocket, then pull steadily through low-friction angles. Shallow pulls beat steep yanks; they reduce re-tangles and keep crossings readable. The solve cadence feels like choreography: identify the top strand, clear a path, pull, re-center, repeat. If a bundle tightens, cycle pulls—park one rope temporarily, alternate the next two until space forms—then resume the main route. Mistakes teach kindly: fresh tangles mean angles were too steep, stuck crossings say a corridor wasn’t opened first, and drift reveals you pulled without re-centering. Correction is small and calm; reopen space and shrink input amplitude. The satisfaction lies in turning a chaotic knot into clean lines that relax naturally because every move respected geometry.
